    We are pleased to inform that the XII Jornadas APDIS will take place in Coimbra, at University of Coimbra, on the 20th and 22th April 2016. This year, the theme will be “INVESTIGAÇÃO. INOVAÇÃO. INTERVENÇÃO. Partilha de Conhecimento em Saúde” (“RESEARCH. INNOVATION. INTERVENTION. Sharing Knowledge in Health Sciences”).

    This event (organized, on a regular basis, since 1993) will bring together librarians and other information professionals from healthcare institutions from Portugal, Spain, African Countries with Portuguese as official language (PALOP’s) and Brazil.

    The APDIS – Associação Portuguesa de Documentação e Informação de Saúde (Portuguese Association on Health Documentation and Information) is a non-profit Portuguese association of Health Librarians, extensive to other Health Professionals, since 1991. The APDIS has scientific and educational purposes exclusively and is intended to assist librarians and information professionals involved in research, education and public health communities.

    On behalf of the APDIS Board, we invite you to join us, as an exhibitor or sponsor.

    Your participation will contribute to the success of this event. It is important for us, health sciences librarians, to meet our publishers, who will bring us up to date with all the latest products.

    The Venue for the XII Jornadas APDIS and the Exhibition will be at Auditorium of the Rectory of the University of Coimbra (UC), the oldest university of the country and one of the oldest in the world, created by King Dinis by signing “Scientiae Thesaurus Mirabilis”, dated from 1290. With over seven centuries, the University of Coimbra has a unique tangible and intangible heritage, keystone in the scientific culture of Europe and the World. A capital that the University of Coimbra has applied to UNESCO World Heritage.
